Unknown Young Woman
Possibly
from Washington, D.C. in the 1940's
Several years ago I bought a photo at a yard
sale only for the antique frame. Recently I removed the picture of
a bird from the photo only to discover that behind the bird picture was
an old photo of a young woman which seems to have been taken sometime in
the l940's.
In the lower right hand corner it has the impressed
name "Albee Studio, Washington, D.C."
I have pondered
over this photo for weeks wondering what to do with it. I know the
family would like to have it if they only knew it existed. I hit
upon the idea of searching the internet for "Albee
Photographers" and found this site. I am attaching a copy of this photo
to this e-mail in hopes that you might help to identify it. On the back
of the photograph is stamped a note saying that the negative has been
kept on file at the studio where it was taken. I don't know if
that is true now since it obviously has been a great number of years.
Also in pencil is the number 35347 which looks like a file number or
such. If you can help find the owner or a family member I would
like to be notified and will be glad to mail it to them.
