William Riley Dougan 
his wife Margaret A. E. (Vaught) Dougan

Photo was taken before 1890.

William Riley Dougan was born August 23, 1838, in Gibson County, IN.  He was the son of Samuel Dougan and Mary Erwin.  

Margaret was his second wife.   William was her third husband.  She was born April 13, 1846, in Muhlenburg, KY.  She was the daughter of Thomas J. Vaught and Altha Amanda Howerton.   

Margaret and William were married July 18, 1878, in Gibson County, IN.   Margaret and William had three children.  Their oldest was James Albert Dougan.  He was my husband's great-grandfather.  

Margaret died August 21, 1904, in Perry County, IN.  William died December 25, 1904, in Perry County, Indiana of Pneumonia.  They are both buried at Beard Cemetery in Perry County, IN
